Clinton Emails: US Rejected Gaddafi Son’s Plan for Libya Democratization

The son of Libya’s overthrown leader Muammar Gaddafi, Saif, had a plan for democratization of the country, which was eventually rejected by the Western powers that chose to bomb the nation, according to an email archive of former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, released by WikiLeaks (March 17)

In October 2015, Fox News reported that  it had obtained Clinton emails that show that in March 2011, at the height of the Arab Spring revolution inside Libya, dictator Muammar Qaddafi’s son Saif was willing to talk peace from the ground in Libya – but the ffer was rejected by Secretary Clinton.
